great expectations

In circle time a couple of weeks ago, we were learning about bugs, because Spring is almost here. The teacher was reading a book about the metamorphosis of a butterfly/moth. She had just finished showing the pictures of the caterpillar making the cocoon and of the cocoon itself. And then she turned the page.... and there was a moth coming out of the cocoon, instead of the caterpillar. J said, "Whooa. I was NOT expecting that!"

I LOL'ed.
