Delivery Man: How do you say your last name?
Me: Reed. [Phonetic spelling]
Delivery Man: Oh... they spelled it wrong...
Me: [Knowing they didn't] Oh really? How did they spell it?
Delivery Man: R.... head?
Me: No, that's right. It's just a different spelling. :)
Delivery Man: Oh!
[Both laugh hysterically]
Okay, we both didn't laugh hysterically. But I hadn't heard someone pronounce my name wrong in a while so then I called my mom, explained what happened, and we both laughed in moderation.
It's understandable. That "H" can be confusing.

Raheed.
R-head.
